The program will highlight the specific and important ways that high quality child care and early learning programs matter to employers\, now and in the future. \n\n\n\nFeatured speaker Bill Millett is a business strategist with an extensive background in community and economic development. With enthusiasm and humor\, Mr. Millett will share with you his insights\, using local data to demonstrate how the regional child care and early learning landscape affects you and your employees.\n\nLocal child care leaders and area legislators will be in attendance as well.\n\n\n\nTo register\, please complete your RSVP & answer the survey questions here\n\n\n\nAbout the speaker:\n\nBill Millett established Charlotte\, NC-based Scope View Strategic Advantage in 1995 to deliver substantial and sustainable value to private\, nonprofit and public firms through support in a broad range of economic\, organizational and business development areas. A core principle of his company is to work only for organizations whose purposes he respects\, whose integrity is beyond question and whose leadership has no tolerance for complacency. \n\n \n\nWhile most of Millett's work has involved the highly complex and confidential areas of helping corporations with site location and taking market share from competitors\, he has a particular interest in early education issues. He has worked on strategic and advocacy initiatives on this subject with state and local organizations throughout the U.S.. In addition\, there is a growing recognition by corporate clients that quality early education is very much a Human Resource issue affecting companies' ability to find the talent necessary for long-term economic sustainability and competitiveness.\n\n \n\nMillett's more than thirty years of professional experience includes serving as Executive Director of two Regional Councils of Governments in South Carolina\; Senior Vice President in charge of Economic Development for both the Charlotte\, NC and Greenville\, SC Chambers of Commerce\; and Principal for Business Development for a major architectural firm. He has held various leadership positions with Community and Economic Development Associations at the state level.
