Race Fever Dunking Booth

The Corning Area Chamber of Commerce announced today that Wilson Rental Center on Park Avenue in Corning will sponsor a dunking booth for Corning’s upcoming Race Fever Night, August 7th on Bridge Street from 5:00 pm – 9:00 pm.  The proceeds from Wilson Rental Center’s dunking event will be donated to the Corning Area Chamber of Commerce for growth of educational, community outreach and vital membership programs.

Challenging the community, several community business people will be on hand hoping that participating dunking booth throwers will have unsuccessful target aim that night!  Rumored to have accepted the invitation to be dunked include Corning City Mayor, Tom Reed; Corning Chamber 2008 Board Chair and Pathways, Inc. President and CEO, Dr. Edward J. Lukomski; Corning Painted-Post School District Superintendent, Mike Ginalski; GLASWERK Optical Owner, Martin Ennulat; The Leader Publisher, Dennis Bruen; Oil Paintings of Interest Owner, Jim Wonderling; and WINK 106 Program Director, Scott Free. Race Fever fans may buy chances to dunk the volunteers for $1 per throw or $5 for 6 throws.

The Information Center of Corning will also host a Corning, NY merchandise table for visitors to purchase their souvenirs.
