Awards to be Presented
The Corning Area Chamber of Commerce is
soliciting nominations for the 2008 John G. Ebernez Enterprise
Award, the Mary Kosty Volunteer of the Year Award, the Small
Business Person of the Year Award, and the Distinguished Employee of
the Year Award.
The John G. Ebernez Enterprise Award
is the highest and most distinguished honor given by the Chamber.
This lifetime achievement award is given to a current or former
Chamber Member(s) who has taken personal business risks, has a stake
in the business area of the community, created traffic, trade, jobs
or all three, created dollars, performed community services and,
accomplished these things over a major portion of their lifetime.
The recipient is chosen by a committee of notable community members
and Chamber representatives.

The Mary Kosty Volunteer of the Year
Award is presented in honor of Mary’s memory, her tireless
efforts and her positive impact in the community. If you know of a
volunteer within your organization please nominate them.

The 2008 Small Business Person of the Year nominee should be
someone who owns or manages a local Chamber Member
business/agency/organization, has demonstrated staying power as an
established business, has shown expansion through creating new jobs
or impacted the community through their leadership, has been
involved in community-oriented projects and is a member in good
standing of the Corning Area Chamber of Commerce.

The Distinguished Employee of the Year nominee should be
someone who is employed by a Chamber Member in good standing,
provides outstanding customer service and satisfaction, exhibits
initiative, creativity, and friendliness to fellow employees/staff
as well as customers.

We will be accepting nominations through Friday, February 1, 2008.

recipients for these awards. Take a moment to give this nomination
your serious consideration and complete the nomination form. We have
many deserving recipients in our community - let's recognize them
for their efforts and accomplishments.
