HistoryThe Corning Area Chamber of Commerce Foundation was developed to provide grants to organizations who will assist entrepreneurs in launching new businesses in the Corning Area; providing educational programs to assist business owners to strengthen and grow their businesses; developing a resource library, local community libraries, schools and universities for persons interested in business subjects; to develop resource services to strengthen area visitor programs operated by the State of New York and local governments to assist tourists in the area; to establish a resource center for Industry Best Practices to benefit the local community, assist local government in the development of such programs. All of the forgoing aid in the development of jobs for the area and effectively reduce the burden on government to provide funds for these programs and decrease unemployment. |
