DESCRIPTION:A Journey Into Art Through Ourselves:\n\nAn Ekphrastic Poetry Workshop\n\nA Writing Workshop To Engage with the Work of Lily Quinones\n\nFriday\, November 15 from 6-8pm\n\n\n\nJoin The ARTS Council of the Southern Finger Lakes (The ARTS Council) for "A Journey Into Art Through Ourselves\," an ekphrastic poetry writing workshop to engage with the works of Lily Quinones. This workshop will be held on November 15\, 2024\, from 6-8pm at The ARTS Council\, 79 West Market Street\, Corning\, NY.\n\n\n\nPoet\, Kidd Williams\, will take participants on a literary journey through Lily Quinones' solo show at The ARTS Council using a series of activities to ignite imaginations as you create your own poetry inspired by Lily's art. Kidd will teach strategies to engage with art using your own art while appreciating the original pieces Lily produced for her solo show. Lily will speak about her art with the group as we all get to know each other and the art in the room.\n\n\n\nThis event is free and open to the public.
