DESCRIPTION:Call for Applications: Executive Director\, The ARTS Council of the Southern Finger Lakes\n\nThe ARTS Council of the Southern Finger Lakes (The ARTS Council) seeks a creative\, visionary leader who loves the arts and is committed to their growth and sustainability. The ARTS Council is the regional organization whose mission is to empower artists and encourage arts advocacy\, foster creativity and economic vitality\, create diverse connections and collaborations\, and champion innovation and equity within the arts to cultivate a dynamic community. As a multi-county arts organization serving Cattaraugus\, Chemung\, Schuyler\, Steuben and Tioga counties in New York State\, The ARTS Council provides a number of services which fulfill its mission\, including:\n\n\n	Increasing arts programming and opportunities for the public by granting State and local funds to artists\, arts/cultural organizations and schools\;\n	Increasing public awareness of and access to the diverse folk arts traditions of the Southern Tier\;\n	Advocating for arts education and the value of life-long learning in the arts\;\n	Providing technical assistance\, linkages\, advocacy and other services to individual artists and arts/cultural organizations\;\n	Increasing awareness of the importance of the arts to the economy of the Southern Tier and beyond\; and\n	Further serving the public through our regional arts calendar\, special arts activities and information sharing.\n\n\nMore information about The ARTS Council is available here.
