DESCRIPTION:Calling all caped crusaders! Get a super start on your New Year's resolutions at CASA of the Southern Tier's 2nd Annual Zumbathon . We invite you to join us on February 1\, 2014 from 9:00 AM to 12:00 PM at the Horseheads American Legion Hall located at 71 Old Ithaca Rd. in Horseheads\, NY. We will be featuring ten of the best Zumba instructors in the area and all proceeds will benefit our organization to ensure and advocate for the best interests of abused and neglected children. Bring your friends and family\, wear your favorite superhero costume\, and contribute to a wonderful cause while getting your Zumba on! T-shirts guaranteed to all superheroes who register by January 15!!\n\n \n\n CASA advocate volunteers are trained members of the community who advocate for the best interests of abused and neglected children in Family Court. The CASA volunteer researches the case\, learning everything they can about the child's special situation. The CASA volunteer then provides this information to the Family Court judge to aid with making the decision on what's best for the child's future. CASA volunteers are dedicated to ensuring children find a safe\, permanent and nurturing home as quickly as possible. CASA of the Southern Tier is currently supporting more than 80 children in Steuben\, Schuyler\, and Chemung counties.
