DESCRIPTION:What could be better than an exhibit about glass and wine? Sipping Finger Lakes wine while viewing beautiful glass objects\, of course!  \n\n \n\nThe Museum is partnering with local wineries to present Fire & Vine Wine Wednesdays all summer long. From July 6 to August 24\, join us each Wednesday from 5-6:30 p.m. to experience the flavors that make the Finger Lakes known worldwide for its exceptional winemaking. We'll feature a different winery each week.  \n\n This week\, we'll be partnering with Lakewood Vineyards.\n\nAdjacent to the tasting\, view the exhibit Fire & Vine: The Story of Glass and Wine\, which highlights two of the most important industries in the Finger Lakes. Learn about the ways that glass is involved in all phases of the winemaking process\, from grape to goblet. \n\nTastings will be free with the cost of Museum admission. Proof of age 21 and over required. Local residents (in zip codes beginning with 148\,149\, 169) always receive 50% off admission. \n\n\n\nAbout Lakewood Vineyards\n\n\n\nIn 1988\, after nearly 37 years of growing and selling grapes\, the Stamp family founded Lakewood Vineyards winery and began producing wines from their sprawling lakeside vineyards. Starting with 7 varieties of wine\, made from estate grown grapes\, Lakewood Vineyards winery opened for wine tasting and sales June 10\, 1989. Their selection of wines has increased to 20 varietals and blended wines and mead. Over 500 medals and trophies attest to Lakewood's dedication to consistently high-quality wines.
