DESCRIPTION:What could be better than an exhibit about glass and wine? Sipping Finger Lakes wine while viewing beautiful glass objects\, of course!  \n\n \n\nThe Museum is partnering with local wineries to present Fire & Vine Wine Wednesdays all summer long. From July 6 to August 24\, join us each Wednesday from 5-6:30 p.m. to experience the flavors that make the Finger Lakes known worldwide for its exceptional winemaking. We'll feature a different winery each week.\n\nThis week\, we'll be partnering with Pleasant Valley Wine Company. \n\nAdjacent to the tasting\, view the exhibit Fire & Vine: The Story of Glass and Wine\, which highlights two of the most important industries in the Finger Lakes. Learn about the ways that glass is involved in all phases of the winemaking process\, from grape to goblet. \n\nTastings will be free with the cost of Museum admission. Proof of age 21 and over required. Local residents (in zip codes beginning with 148\,149\, 169) always receive 50% off admission. \n\n\n\nAbout Pleasant Valley Wine Company\n\n\n\nThe Pleasant Valley Wine Company\, located near the village of Hammondsport\, New York is the oldest winery in the Finger Lakes region. Established in 1860\, the winery proudly displays the designation U.S. Bonded Winery No. 1 and has eight remarkable stone buildings listed on the National Register of Historic Places. \n\n \n\nWe thank Pleasant Valley Wine Company for their support of the Fire & Vine exhibition.
