Inspired by comics\, using its icons\, tropes and dynamism\, this is a new world of American Indian art\, full of the brash excitement first seen on newsprint a century ago\, sometimes unrefined\, even crude at times\, but never sterile. Comic Art Indig ne has toured the U.S. and has been exhibited at such prestigious institutions as the National Museum of the American Indian in Washington\, D.C. and the Palm Springs Art Museum in Palm Springs\, California.\n\n\n\nJust for Families\n\nKids and Teens (19 & under) FREE!\n\n\n\nBecome a detective along the Art Trail! From gallery art hunts to backpacking activities through the West\, families can explore the Museum's collection together through a variety of daily drop-in activities! All activities are available for free and are offered daily. No registration required. In addition to the comic art exhibition\, visitors can make their own drawings and comics and post them on a light table! There is also an area to read contemporary Native comic books.\n\n\n\nSee the West come to life! The Rockwell Museum of Western Art is an unexpected immersion into the Western experience from the moment you enter! The Rockwell Museum of Western Art is nationally recognized for its one-of-a-kind collection of Western and Native American art. Famous Western masterworks and contemporary new looks of the West round-out three full floors of American Western and Native American art and culture. Discover the astounding 800 pound Pyrex  glass sculpture that greets each visitor as they walk through the door!\n\n\n\n"Born of Fire" - Southwestern pottery self-guided tour available every day throughout GlassFest! To celebrate the Fire Arts\, this self-guided tour highlights the Native American pottery\, bronze and glass in the Museum's permanent collection.
