SUMMARY:Lino Live!
DESCRIPTION:The Corning Museum of Glass is pleased to provide an opportunity for public audiences to watch Maestro Lino Tagliapietra at work as we celebrate his retirement from the hot shop after a 70+ year career. Widely known as the greatest glassblower in the world\, Tagliapietra has long been a friend of the Museum and a mentor and teacher to glass artists across the globe. We look forward to having the Maestro with us\, and to honoring his storied career and his passion for the material at the center of our mission.\n\nAttendees are encouraged to wear masks\, as Steuben County is currently designated an area of 'high' community transmission due to the BA.2 Omicron subvariant.\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\nReserve Your Ticket\n\n\n\nWitness the grace and mastery of the greatest living glassmaker one last time. Watch as Lino Tagliapietra shapes molten glass\, seemingly effortlessly\, into his signature colorful forms right here in Corning. This public demonstration will take place on Friday\, May 13 from 9 am to 12 pm and is a ticketed event. \n\nThe $40 ticket includes the 3-hour demonstration and general admission to the Museum for the day. Museum Members can reserve a ticket for $20.\n\n\n\nReserve your ticket at:\n\nCorning Museum of Glass: Tickets Online - Buy Program Tickets (cmog.org)
