DESCRIPTION:The Evelyn Peeler Peacock Gallery at  The ARTS Council of the Southern Finger Lakes (The ARTS Council) is pleased to announce\, Making Connections: Mentoring New Artists\, presented by Johnson-Schmidt and Associates Architects\, will be on view from Friday\, February 16   Friday\, March 29\, 2024. Join The ARTS Council for an opening reception on Friday\, March 1 from 4-6pm.\n\n \n\nAbout The Show:\n\nMaking Connections: Mentoring New Artists explores intergenerational connections between artists\, connections that have been forged intentionally. Professionals mentored student artists one-on-one and provided examples of continuous and productive creativity in the context of a successful life. Together\, these artists have created a scaffolding for learning not only artistic skills and techniques\, but a way of being in the world.\n\n \n\nPartial funding for this exhibition was provided by the Community Foundation of Elmira-Corning and the Finger Lakes.\n\n \n\nThank you to our 2024 Gallery sponsors: Johnson-Schmidt and Associates Architects\, Ambient Heating & Air Conditioning\, America's Steam Kettle Headquarters !\, and South Hill Holdings' Market Street Apartments.
