DESCRIPTION:Oktoberfest in Germany may be canceled this year due to Coronavirus\, but the Gateway to the Southern Finger Lakes\, Radisson Hotel Corning\, is keeping the tradition going with some socially-distanced events for the public taking place now through the end of next month.  The historic hotel in the heart of the downtown Gaffer District proudly presents the following at its two restaurant venues: \n\n\n\nFall\, Fire & Wine\n\nGuests of Radisson's outdoor dining and entertainment destination\, Market Street Social\, are invited to round up family or friends and cozy up to Fall\, Fire & Wine in celebration of Oktoberfest.  Along with free charcuterie boards and 25%-off the first bottle of wine\, parties of 6 to 10 who reserve one of Market Street Social's three private fire pits (reservations can be made by calling 607-962-5000 ext 112) are encouraged to bring their blankets\, throws or favorite canine friend and partake in this inaugural autumn.  Pits are available any day of the week now through the end of October from either 5:30p-7:30p or 8p-10p with a $25 non-refundable deposit.  \n\n\n\nOktoberfest Menus\n\nBoth Market Street Social and Grill 1-2-5\, Radisson's indoor signature restaurant\, are rolling out special menu offerings (in addition to their regular menus) in celebration of the start and finish of Oktoberfest.  \n\n\n\nKicking things off September 15 to September 19\, those looking for an authentic taste of Germany can stop by either venue and enjoy:  Bratwurst   in beer with onions served with German potato salad\; J gerschnitzel   thinly sliced pork loin\, breaded and pan fried and smothered with rich brown creamy mushroom sauce and served with spatzle\; Beschwipster Huhn (Drunken Chicken)   chicken thighs stewed with vegetables in a rich sauce with red wine topped with white asparagus tips and peas\; Sauerbraten   braised beef round with a rich sour beef sauce spiked with gingersnaps and served with braised red cabbage\; Bavarian Cream with raspberry gelee\; Warm Apple Cake\; or Black Forest Torte with Kirshwasser.  \n\n\n\nThen\, on October 6 to 10\, Smoketoberfest   an Oktoberfest finale   will wrap things up by giving fans of smoked foods a smokin' hot menu dedicated to creative smoked dishes and smoked drinks.  \n\n\n\nRadisson Hotel Corning complies with all COVID-19 health and safety regulations to protect customers and staff\, including tables distanced at least 6-feet apart and mandatory mask-wearing inside the hotel when not seated.
