SUMMARY:Pride: An Invitational Exhibition
DESCRIPTION:Pride: An Invitational Exhibition  features the work of eight LGBTQ artists in our region including: Gigi Alvare \, Mavin Ambrose \, Eva Capobianco \, David Hertel \, Charlie Hunter \, Debra Moss \, Daniel Roemmelt and Brian Whisenhunt. There is both abstract and representational work in media including photography\, oil painting\, water color\, ink on paper\, ceramic sculpture and mixed media collage. The intention of the exhibition is to communicate to LGBTQ youth and anyone marginalized in our community that hope for the future springs from pride in one's identity. \n\n \n\nThe exhibit will be on display from May 22 through June 15 in The Evelyn Peeler Peacock Gallery at The ARTS Council \, 79 West Market St.\, Corning\, NY. The closing reception is June 15 from 5 to 7 pm.
