Four women wielding four bassoons\, the BWBQ operates as a band\, traveling throughout the U.S. and abroad to present high-energy shows of their own material. The quartets' repertoire--by turns baroque\, funky\, cinematic and class\, reflects the diverse musical tastes of its members. Dancing\, skits\, and accessory instruments set a joyous and eccentric tone\, and comedic touches serve to both celebrate and poke fun at the rich traditions of Western music. The result is a product that is current and creative.
