Event at Corning Community College - Corning Community College and Cool Kids to

Corning Community College and Cool Kids will host Tri-City Opera Kid’s Show “SEASON’S of the GLEN,” world premiere on Saturday, November 5, 2011, 10 – 11 a.m. in the Main Dining Room, Commons Building, Spencer Hill campus, Corning. This is a Cool Kids first as we feature a set in the Southern Tier. Learn about a child’s adventure in some very familiar places in New York State with cool music. Kids love this story.

The Cool Kids program is about awesome, fun, interactive programs for kids of all ages, including parents. These are fabulous opportunities for parents to participate in an event with their kids. Registration is not required and most importantly, they are free. The CCC Activities Programming Committee is sponsoring these events as a means to reach out to the community and let them be a part of our college campus.

Additional Cool Kids events include Dancing Bear PUPPET THEATER on Saturday, March 24, 2012, 10 – 11 a.m. Learn about ancient Thailand as Maiayarap engages in an epic battle against the Monkey Army. Music and culture culminate in a Thai dance.

CCC’s fourth annual ECOfest and E-Scrap Drive will include two REPTILEWORLD programs on Saturday, April 21, 2012, 10 a.m. – 2 p.m. Michael D. Shwedick’s REPTILEWORLD program gives audiences the opportunity to meet an interesting selection of live, large, colorful and gentile reptiles from all over the world including a beautiful Albino soft-shell turtle, tropical lizard from South America, an American or Chinese Alligator, and many more. Show times are at 11 a.m. and 1 p.m.

The ECOfest and E-Scrap Drive is sure to be the coolest festival of green ever. Join us for fun, vendors, activities, eco-games, displays, and prizes. Mark your calendar now for this program but watch for details as we fine-tune it over the next couple months. In the mean time, save your old electronic items for our e(electronic)-scrap drive. Don’t throw them in the garbage – bring them to us to be recycled and properly scrapped.
