Watch as Hot Glass Demo Team gaffer George Kennard and Curator of Ancient Glass Katherine Larson, PhD, explore the topic of wine consumption in upper-class English society in the 1700s.
Alongside Larson's curatorial perspective to the presentation, Kennard will create a large glass vessel from which one could pour a glass of wine while attending a fashionable soirée.
Join us for our summer live stream demo series highlighting objects and themes from our new exhibit, Fire and Vine: The Story of Glass and Wine.
In context of this exhibition, curators from The Corning Museum of Glass present historical perspectives on the glassmakers’ creations.
Watch master glassmaker George Kennard on Thursday, August 12 at 5:30 pm EDT, livestreamed on The Corning Museum of Glass YouTube channel.
Unable to watch the live event? The Live Stream will be uploaded to YouTube. Plus, find hundreds of hours of livestreamed demonstrations on the Corning Museum of Glass YouTube channel.
