More Information: https://www.facebook.com/events/900642997551371What better time of the year to be outdoors than the peak of autumn? Join poet Michael Czarnecki in a hike and write workshop outdoors in Chemung County at Tanglewood Nature Center and/or the Chemung River. We'll be enjoying the fall scenery with a short hike (no more than a mile) and some inspired writing. Please dress appropriately for the weather and wear comfy shoes.
The first part of each workshop we'll gather as a group and Michael will encourage us to put down in words what we experience with our senses. The writing can be haiku, poetry, prose, journal notes, or whatever form you are drawn to. Then we'll go off on our own for a while to write, afterwards gathering together again to share what we created.
The morning session from 10am to 12pm will be held at the Chemung River. The afternoon session will be from 1:30 to 3:30pm at Tanglewood Nature Center. You are welcome to attend one or both of the sessions with a lunch break on your own in between. Meeting locations will be emailed to participants on October 21st.
You must pre-register to attend this event. Proof of vaccination is required. Vaccination cards or the excelsior pass are acceptable forms for proof of vaccination. You can either email Casey at casey@earts.org in advance with your proof of vaccination or bring it with you on the day of the workshops.
