Join The ARTS Council of the Southern Finger Lakes (The ARTS Council) and Michael Czarnecki for a Hike & Write workshop on Thursday, August 20, from 6-8pm, at Tanglewood Nature Center, 443 Coleman Ave in Elmira, NY.
Enjoy an evening of light hiking, a guided journey of nature-inspired poetry, and some independent writing time.
During the first part of the workshop, we'll gather as a group, and Michael will encourage us to put into words what we experience with our senses. The writing can be haiku, poetry, prose, journal notes, or whatever form you are drawn to. Then we'll go off on our own for a while to write, afterward gathering together again to share what we have created.
Please bring something to write on and something to write with. We will be outside the entire time, so feel free to bring a water bottle, hat, sunscreen, and bug spray.
This program is free and open to the public.
Funding for this event is provided by Poets & Writers.
