Music In The Square: TOiVO
The ARTS Council of the Southern Finger Lakes, in partnership with Corning’s Gaffer District, continues Music in the Square through August. Join us for the two final concerts of the season on Thursday evenings from 6-8pm for free summer concerts featuring local and regional performers in beautiful Centerway Square!
August 19 - Toivo
Toivo is a dance band from Trumansburg, NY playing the traditional music of the Finnish community of the south-central Finger Lakes region. Much of this music was learned from Richard Koski and his father who both played for Finnish dances in the area from Spencer to Trumansburg.
August 26 - Gerard Burke
Delta bluesman Gerard Burke has entertained listeners across New York’s Southern Tier and Central New York regions with his unique brand of acoustic blues, played in the style of the old masters, such as Son House, Charley Patton, and Robert Johnson.Date and Time
