Join us for a lively discussion of What Are You Looking At?: The Surprising, Shocking, and Sometimes Strange Story of 150 Years of Modern Art, an exploration of modern art by BBC arts editor Will Gompertz. According to the publisher, Gompertz "made it his mission to bring modern art’s exciting history alive for everyone, explaining why an unmade bed or a pickled shark can be art—and why a five-year-old couldn’t really do it."
The discussion will be followed by a tour of the exhibition New Glass Now | Context with Archivist and Co-curator Colleen McFarland Rademaker.
Light refreshments will be available.
Copies of the book can be purchased at the Museum Shops.
