Sample the Susquehanna
Experience the calm and scenic waters of the Southern Tier's premier river, the Susquehanna. With a gentle flow and relaxed pace, this 6-mile tour is well suited for larger groups.

We meet at the DEC boat launch in Apalachin. Your tour starts with a safety orientation and a kayaking lesson from our experienced guides. As we travel downstream, a sweeping turn in the river leads us into a wide valley, where many species of birds frequent the shallow waters. We'll pass historic Hiawatha Island, the largest island in the Susquehanna within New York State. You'll have a chance to cool off in the water before we reach our destination at Hickories Park.

Park your vehicle at the DEC boat launch in Apalachin at least 10-minutes before your tour is scheduled to start.

We'll provide a shuttle bus ride back to your vehicle at the end of the tour.
