This session for small businesses focuses on financial resources.
Are you considering expanding your operations? Replacing or upgrading equipment? How about buying inventory? Or maybe you just need to hire & train new staff? If you answered “yes” to any one or more of these questions, then this seminar is right for you!
This session brings representatives from Chemung Canal Trust Company and the Small Business Administration together to share helpful information, including:
- What type of loan is right for your business?
- Commercial loans - what they are, types of loans, where to get them
- How to prepare for a lender meeting
- Alternatives to commercial loans
- SBA loans - reasons to use SBA, eligibility, use of loan funds, terms and working with a lender

The U.S. Small Business administration (SBA) is a Federal Agency that helps small businesses start, grow and expand. SBA helps small businesses through counseling, access to capital, government contracting and disaster assistance.
Last fiscal year the Syracuse District Office of the SBA facilitated the approval of 529 guaranteed loans worth over $180M. Through these loans over 4,200 jobs were supported in District.
