    Job Description
    Pathways, Inc. is currently recruiting childcare workers for our Kids’ Adventure Club (KAC) and Erwin Child Family Center (ECFC), and Preschool programs to provide varied and enriched programs to our children.

    KAC, a before and after school program operating in the Corning School District is looking for the following positions to work with school aged children.
    Group Leader- assists the Activity Specialist with site planning. Must have work experience in a childcare center.
    Program Aides- work directly with children, assists in implementing daily activities

    ECFC, an Early Education Based Center in Painted Post is looking for Teacher, Support Teacher, and Teacher Aides to work with infants to preschoolers.
    Teacher- Directly responsible for the oversight of the classroom, supervision of classroom staff and support of program policies.  Associates or higher in Early Childhood Education, Child Development, and two years Early Education Teaching experience.
    Support Teacher- assists the Teacher with classroom activity development and implementation. Must have 12 credits in Child Development, Early Childhood Education, or Early Childhood Special Education and two years’ experience in a childcare center.
    Teacher Aides- work directly with children, assists in implementing daily activities

    Preschool Program (Elmira, Hornell, Bath, Avoca locations)
    1:1 Teacher Aide- assists assigned youth (and classroom as needed) with implementing daily activities, providing assistance and adapting to meet the youth’s needs. Experience is preferred.
    Special Education Itinerant Teacher (SEIT) - provides Itinerant Special Education services to youth in their homes/programs providing individualized instruction to improve the child’s communication skills, social and emotional development, self-help/adaptive skills and fine gross skills. Covers various counties such as: Steuben, Chemung, Schuyler and Allegany. Bachelors in Special Education Required (Masters Preferred), Provisional NY State Certification with Students with Disabilities, B-2 required, with permanent certification preferred. Preschool Special Education experience is preferred and candidate must have a valid driver’s license. Knowledge of common childhood disorders, special instruction techniques, early childhood education and Special Education regulations is required.
    Special Education Teacher- provides Special Education services to youth in a center-based classroom staff designed to improve the child’s communication skills, social and emotional development, self-help/adaptive skills and fine gross skills. This position is out of Elmira NY. Bachelors in Special Education Required (Masters Preferred), Provisional NY State Certification with Students with Disabilities, B-2 required, with permanent certification preferred. Preschool Special Education experience is required. Knowledge of common childhood disorders, special instruction techniques, early childhood education and Special Education regulations is required.
