    Currently Seeking a Qualified Sales Manager

    Job Overview:
    Proactively supports and represents the Watkins Glen Harbor hotel in a sales capacity, providing a knowledgeable, positive and professional image while delivering exceptional customer service to group contacts and clients. Excellent communication skills to both internal hotel departments and clients is a must.
     
    Essential Job Functions:
    • Responsible for qualifying incoming leads, via phone or through third party request for proposals for group and event business. Follow up with proposals and contracts, provide site tours and ensure all details for groups are in order.
    • Consistently follow up on proposed and tentative bookings. Re-book groups on a regular basis.
    • Attends trade-shows, community events and Chamber programs.
    • Builds group blocks and establishes appropriate transfers for billing. Manages pickup group room blocks. Communicate this information with the client regularly.
    • Support the Outside Sales Manager with all details as needed.
    Preferred Education and Experience:
    • Bachelor’s degree from 4 year College or University
    • 1-3 years of successful hotel sales, front desk experience with the ability to close sales
    • Knowledge of IQ Ware preferred but not necessary
    • Passion for being an instrumental part of a dynamic team.
