Dane Jack Guest Artist Demo
Watch live as Dane Jack, a member of the Hot Glass Demo team, demonstrates his talents as an artist in the Amphitheater Hot Shop on June 29 from 6 to 8 pm.
A resident of Corning, New York, Dane Jack forms hot glass objects, paying close attention to technique and design. His delicate blown glass vases and lamps feature bold colors and clean lines. Jack began his career at The Corning Museum of Glass as a narrator for the Hot Glass Demo team. He has also worked as a gaffer for Steuben Glass and as a freelance glass artist. In addition, he has assisted other glass artists in their studios. He occasionally teaches classes at The Studio of The Corning Museum of Glass, sharing his technical skills with beginning glassblowers.
The Hot Glass Demo team of The Corning Museum of Glass consists of some of glassmaking’s most talented individuals, many of whom have worked with the world's most inspiring maestros, leading designers, and renowned firms. Together, they present more than 1,000 hot glass demonstrations a year to guests and Museum visitors.
These demos are included in the cost of admission (kids and teens 17 and under are free).
