Living Out Loud: LGBTQIA+ Story Circles
Join The ARTS Council of the Southern Finger Lakes (The ARTS Council) in collaboration with Dante Acquavella for the first session in a year-long series of programs entitled Living Out Loud: LGBTQIA+ Story Circles. The first session will take place on Thursday, August 13, from 6-7:30pm at The ARTS Council, 79 West Market St., Corning, NY.
Every one of us carries stories—moments that have shaped us, challenged us, surprised us, and changed the way we move through the world. Too often, those stories remain untold. Living Out Loud is a facilitated storytelling circle for LGBTQIA+ community members that brings people together through theatre, personal narrative, and creative exploration. Using ensemble-based activities, guided prompts, and reflective conversation, we'll create an artistic space where stories can be shared, witnessed, and discovered together.
This isn't about performing or telling the "right" story. It's about showing up with curiosity, listening generously, and exploring the experiences that make us who we are. No theatre or storytelling experience is necessary—only a willingness to participate in a shared creative experience. This event is free and open to the LGBTQIA+ community.
If you have any questions please reach out to Casey Winston, Director of Public Programs at casey@eARTS.org.
