Meet the Artist: Klaus Moje
Free event; Open to the public
Corning Museum of Glass Auditorium
Klaus Moje is an internationally known artist and influential teacher who pioneered studio glass in Europe and later in Australia. Early in his career, Moje chose to work with a set of simple geometric shapes-such as the circle and the square-in the form of shallow bowls. Later, he expanded his repertoire to include cylinders and flat panels. Within these formats, he has experimented with geometric and abstract patterns to create remarkable glass paintings.
Moje's presentation will be followed by a panel discussion about his work with curator of modern glass, Tina Oldknow, and Dan Schwoerer and Lani McGregor of Bullseye Glass Company in Portland, OR.
