Celebrate National Poetry Month – Poetry, Potluck, and Camaraderie!
Saturday, April 18, 10am – 5pm

The ARTS Council of the Southern Finger Lakes (The ARTS Council) and FootHills Publishing are thrilled to present Poets In Play All Day, a full day of poetry in celebration of National Poetry Month. Join in at The ARTS Council, 79 W Market St in Corning, NY.

Featuring Adventures in Japan, Casey Winston and Michael Czarnecki will host the day’s program. Enjoy poetry readings from Bart White, Michael Czarnecki, and our special guest, Japanese Tanka Poet Mariko Kitakuboa. Open readings, food, and conversation will be abundant. A Tanka Poem Fusion Workshop and performance will be facilitated by Craig Czury.

A potluck lunch is planned, so bring along some light food to share if you are able. (Electrical outlets are available for crockpots.)

• 10:30 – 11:00: Featured Reader, Bart White
• 11:00 – 11:20: Break/Snacks
• 11:20 – 11:50: Mariko Kitakubo Tanka Performance
• 11:50 – 12:50: Lunch break
• 12:50 – 2:50: Tanka Poem Fusion Workshop and Reading with Craig Czury
• 2:50 – 3:10: Break/Snacks
• 3:10 – 3:40 Tan-Ku Reading by Mariko and Michael
• 3:40 – 5:00  Open Reading
