Poets In Play: Ruth Tonachel
Join The ARTS Council and Foothills Publishing for the first Poets in Play reading of the 2022-23 season!On September 13, 2022 we will host Ruth Tonachel as our featured poet. After Ruth's reading we will host a brief Q&A followed by an open mic session. Everyone is invited to read one poem for the group. You are welcome to read any poem you like or write one inspired by Ruth's prompt: "Maybe you don't know me..."This event will be held at The ARTS Council of the Southern Finger Lakes, 79 W. Market St. in Corning from 7-9pm. There is also a zoom link below for anyone who would like to join virtually. You are welcome to bring your own food and drink to the event, but we will also provide light refreshments.Poets in Play is free and open to the public and is made possible with funding provided by Poets & Writers.About Ruth Tonachel:
Ruth Tonachel grew up in Greenwich Village during the 1960s and now lives in her mother’s ancestral farmhouse near Towanda, Pennsylvania. As a folklorist, farmer and journalist, she has written about agriculture, folk and traditional artists and country music for over forty years.Zoom link:
