Dawn M. Harsch Guest Post: A Community of Caring at Absolut Care of Three Rivers

As our community embraces the beauty of winter, we’re reminded of each season’s promise for renewal and change. While the last two years have been marked with unexpected challenges for everyone, we’d like to take a moment to recognize our wonderful caregivers at Absolut Care of Three Rivers for their compassion and commitment to providing high quality care during this difficult time.

One of the keys to navigating the unpredictability of a pandemic is having dynamic and progressive individuals in place to lead the charge. As such, we’re pleased to announce the appointment of Richard D. Sweet-Keech, LNHA, MHA, MAOL, LSSGB, who has served as Administrator since July of 2021. Richard holds a master’s degree in healthcare administration from Roberts Wesleyan College, a master of arts in organizational leadership from Medaille College and bachelor of business and from Medaille College.  Throughout the pandemic, Richard and his colleagues have invested thousands of working hours to stay abreast of changing regulations, integrate infection control measures and provide leadership to ensure the health and safety of our residents and staff. His efforts have resulted in a team of bonded health care heroes who continue to deliver care in unprecedented ways.

The Absolut team is proud to offer a variety of services in a modern and home-like environment. Our subacute rehabilitation program is designed for individuals who have been discharged from the hospital but require short-term rehabilitation in order to return home. With unique training protocols in kitchen, bedroom and bathroom settings, our patients work with a team of specialists to regain the skills and stamina necessary to return back into the community safely and independently.

Likewise, our long-term care services provide family members with peace of mind knowing that their loved one’s daily needs are being met around the clock. Residents receive comprehensive treatment from a full team of health care providers, including physicians, nurses, certified nursing assistants, therapists, nutritionists and more. The team focuses on providing high quality hands-on care and assistance with activities of daily living. A special focus is given to retaining residents’ overall function while ensuring their dignity and quality of life.

In addition to providing progressive services, Absolut Care of Three Rivers is a place where you’ll find fantastic employment opportunities! Our team is expanding in nearly every department with openings for nurses, certified nursing assistants, dietary, activities, housekeeping and maintenance. We’re happy to offer paid CNA training, competitive wages, education assistance, referral and sign-on bonuses and great benefits. Recently we partnered with Corning Community College to offer a specialized CNA training course and are looking to continue this relationship throughout 2022.
