The Institute for Human Services, Inc. and the Steuben Rural Health Network have collaborated with the Health Foundation for Western and Central New York to offer the local nonprofit and public sector the opportunity to build quality improvement capacity and practical know-how, with an emphasis on understanding what underlying factors exist within this process. With the leadership of international trainers and Improvement Advisors, Jane Taylor EdD and Sue Butts Dion, the use of problem-based and action learning will allow participants the chance to adapt the workshop curriculum to their specific, individual organizational needs and work hands-on to design and implement a project in two days.

Still questioning the value of continual improvement? Consider all of the various processes and procedures your organization completes on a daily basis. Within each of these processes, time, staff, and monetary resources must be used. Even a process as simple as accepting an application can be made more efficient with process improvement--through restructuring and configuring the steps taken, each staff member will be following an identical protocol for such a process and as a result, will reduce the costs associated with each intake.

• Day 1: Thursday, October 25th from 9 am - 4:30 pm; Dinner Networking Event
• Day 2: Friday, October 26th from 9 am - 3 pm
• Location: Hilton Garden Inn, Horseheads, NY
• Cost: Completely free! Breakfast and lunch will be provided both days. For those individuals who will be travelling 45 miles or more for this event, a limited number of hotel rooms are available at no cost.
