Living Out Loud: The Stories We Carry
Living Out Loud: The Stories We Carry
The ARTS Council & Dante Acquavella
Monday, October 19, 6-7:30pm
Join The ARTS Council of the Southern Finger Lakes in collaboration with Dante Acquavella for Living Out Loud: The Stories We Carry, a storytelling workshop for members of the LGBTQIA+ community. This workshop will be held at The ARTS Council, 79 West Market St. in Corning, NY on Monday, October 19, from 6-7:30pm.
Some stories we tell all the time. Others we rarely say out loud. Some are big, defining moments, while others are ordinary memories that have stayed with us for reasons we may not entirely understand.
Living Out Loud returns in October with The Stories We Carry, an evening of conversation, storytelling, and creative exploration for LGBTQIA+ adults in the Southern Finger Lakes, facilitated by Dante Acquavella.
Through simple prompts, theatre-based exercises, and conversation, we'll explore the stories that have followed us, the ones we've inherited, and the ones we may understand differently now. You don't need to prepare anything or consider yourself a storyteller. Come as you are, share what you'd like, and help us see where the stories take us.
This event is free and open to all members of the LGBTQIA+ community 16 and older.
